Trans Liberty PAC - IE

Help us defend the inalienable rights of trans Americans.

They're "not women or girls, even if they believe that they are."

That is how a Supreme Court justice just described trans women, in his opinion on a major civil rights case.

Justice Clarence Thomas didn't stop at joining the 6-3 ruling allowing states to ban trans kids from school sports. He said the quiet part out loud, calling being trans a "mutable mental state" and signaling that trans people shouldn't be protected under civil rights law at all.

The headlines will call this a sports case. It isn't. A justice just told the country that trans people are the "objects of psychiatric treatment," not Americans deserving of the same inalienable rights.

A 15-year-old girl in West Virginia, the only trans athlete in her whole state, just lost the right to run cross-country with her friends. 26 other states' bans now have nothing standing in their way.

We're Trans Liberty, a national civil rights organization and political action committee fighting for trans Americans, rooted in the heartland. When a ruling like this lands, we educate candidates and lawmakers on what it really means, and keep up the fight for our community in every corner of the nation.

Most Americans are still with us. They support protecting trans people from workplace discrimination (+33%), from hate crimes (+36%), and in military service (+22%). The extremists are betting we'll go quiet. We won't.

Trans Liberty builds real political power by:

  • EDUCATING CANDIDATES with the messaging and policy guidance to handle any attack
  • SUPPORTING LEADERS who protect everyone's right to live freely
  • BUILDING COALITIONS that include anyone who believes in basic fairness
  • DEFEATING EXTREMISTS who target vulnerable Americans

THE OPPOSITION IS ORGANIZED. SO ARE WE

While billionaire-backed consultants tell Democrats to abandon trans Americans, we're building the real alternative from the heartland out.

As Rep. Sarah McBride reminded us in a recent interview: "Meeting people where they are is not selling out. It's what this work is."

A justice just told the country we don't deserve the same civil rights as other Americans. Chip in to Trans Liberty today and help us prove him wrong.
