Trisha Calvarese (she/her) [cal-vuh-reez] is the hometown candidate to defeat Lauren Boebert in Colorado's 4th Congressional District.
Trisha is former Director of Speechwriting & Publications at the AFL-CIO and a 2nd generation member of the Federal Civil Service with the U.S. National Science Foundation. She shaped and helped pass historic investments: $80 million for climate tech startups, $4.5 billion for drought preparedness, and in the next six years, an anticipated $13 billion to make Colorado a world leader in renewable energy transmission.
Trisha is running to make sure those investments, from the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest climate bill in US history, and the bipartisan CHIPS & Science Act, reach Eastern Colorado communities in the form of union jobs, education, and start-up opportunities.
A Colorado native, Trisha grew up in Sterling and Highlands Ranch. She recently returned to provide end of life care for her parents. She is staying to fight for the care and Social Security of all seniors, to reclaim reproductive freedoms, and to beat Lauren Boebert who ditched her current district to run here.
