Support Tsuru for Solidarity

Goal thermometer

Tsuru for Solidarity is working to end detention and support immigrant & refugee communities who are experiencing injustice and oppression under the current U.S. administration. We are an all-volunteer organization.

We cannot stand by while children and families are going to be incarcerated across our country. Please join us and support us, as we take our actions onto a larger scale.

Our goal is to raise $125,000 in individual contributions: one dollar for each member of our community who was rounded up and incarcerated during World War II. To reach this goal, we ask that 1,000 people step forward to contribute at least $125.

Thanks to the generosity of Gerry and Gail Nanbu, we are excited to announce that all donations made until December 1, 2019 will be matched up to a total of $25,000! Mr. and Mrs. Nanbu write, “This match challenge is made in remembrance of our families, whose courage and resilience in the face of adversity has taught us to stand up for justice.”

All donations are tax-deductible. Densho, which is our fiscal sponsor, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, tax number 91-2164150.

We are incredibly grateful for your support. Without it, our work would not be possible. For more information, please visit our website. Thank you!
