Join our fight for Public Schools in Texas!

We launched the fight for Safe Schools when Governor Greg Abbott decided he wanted to prohibit school districts from protecting their students and staff by prohibiting mask mandates. We recruited more than 4,000 volunteers who successfully lobbied our school district to impose a mask mandate. In addition, we successfully intervened in a lawsuit against Governor Abbott which helped to protect more than 1 million Texas students .

It is no accident that we chose the name Safe Schools For All. This fight was just the beginning of what was to come. We want safe schools for our LBGTQI students, equity for students of color, and equity for low income students. We want protections for critical thinking that include accurate history and eliminate book bans. 

School board races have become a battleground and it is going to require all hands on deck! There is no time to waste.

We have launched Safe Schools For Texas powered by TX Blue Action. We are organizing ground teams for 6 school districts to support their upcoming school board races. These districts include Round Rock, Dripping Springs, Eanes, Hays, Lake Travis and Spring Branch. We are also launching an endorsement process for candidates that we will support. Using targeted data, our ground teams will begin canvassing these districts for 6 consecutive weeks leading up to the May 7th elections.
