Join Rainforest Partnership in our mission to end deforestation by 2030. Become a part of this global movement by helping us raise $100,000 for rainforests and their guardians.
Deep in the Amazon Rainforest, near the Peru-Brazil border, the Yurúa Communal Conservation Association (ACCY), an association of nine communities comprising six indigenous peoples (Asheninka, Yaminahua, Ashaninka, Amahuaca, Yanesha, and Chitonahua) has organized to conserve, defend, and manage around 88,958 acres of primary forest.
Illegal timber and gold mining, conflicts with Brazilian loggers and hunters, the absence of the Peruvian government, and a history of neglect, poverty, malnutrition, and non-existent access to basic services makes conservation of this area challenging, yet critical.
Through our steadfast commitment to equal partnership and participatory and inclusive processes, Rainforest Partnership has been invited to work in these remote areas with partners like the ACCY member communities.
Give today, because the time is now.
