We at the UFW Foundation are fortunate enough to have supporters such as yourselves join us in our pursuit of human dignity. The UFW Foundation provides critical services to farm workers and immigrant communities, including:
-
Immigration legal services, such as DACA, family petitions, naturalization, U-Visas for survivors of violence and T-Visas for survivors of human trafficking.
-
Workers’ rights information and assistance through our call center and on the ground outreach;
-
Community organizing resources such as know your rights trainings and education around heat exposure and pesticides;
-
Grassroots organizing and leadership development focused extensively on engaging and developing leadership skills of farm workers, their children and other community members, which includes trainings and education around heat exposure and pesticides;
-
Emergency financial relief, created in 2020 to address the needs of farm workers and rural immigrants in our target areas, which includes the distribution of meals, emergency food boxes, sanitation materials, PPE and relief payment distribution;
-
Systemic change program, which includes civic participation and advocacy at local and federal levels for laws and protections for farm workers, such as sending 60+ farm workers this month to Washington D.C. to meet with over 50 congressional offices and share their stories and inspire lawmakers.
