As a former candidate for US House NC03, I realized just how forgotten our communities of Eastern North Carolina are. In addition to being forgotten there are so many issues that affect this district such criminal justice, environmental issues, lack of resources, etc. So many people feel forgotten throughout which led to over 175,000 people that did not vote during the past midterm election. Many of these non voters were from Generations X, Y, and Z.
Due to this reason, we created the United Coalition for Hip Hop Culture political action committee. This PAC was created to:
1.Utilize the culture of hip-hop as a voice to speak up for/against injustices including to but not limited to political issues within marginalized communities that the culture was built upon.
2.To reengage the community with American Politics
3.Advocate for or against polices that relate to marginalized youth and communities
This PAC holds the following goals and objectives:
Motivate youth and marginalized communities to showcase their talent through the arts of the original elements of hip hop as it relates to current issues.
Utilize seasoned artists to assist with creating awareness in the form of but not limited to concerts/events to
Motivate the community to vote or participate in politics.
Create a social media awareness, community newsletter, townhalls, etc. to bring awareness to issues as it relates to marginalized communities and youth
Hold Voter Registration events within marginalized communities and youth
Educate marginalized communities and youth on civics, policy, and how to actively engage and participate in the electoral process
Assist returning citizens on how to restore and confirm their voting rights
Increase nontraditional voter turnout of voters within the Gen X, Y, Z groups through hip hop culture.
Please consider making a donation to help us motivate these future voters for the 2024 election. Your donation will also help increase our organizing and mobilizing efforts within this rural district. We cannot afford to lose any more seats in 2024.
