The UnBossed Project is a political organization inspired by the trailblazing legacy of Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress and the first to seek a major party’s nomination for President. True to her motto, "Unbought and Unbossed," the project is dedicated to supporting and empowering candidates, particularly women and Black women, running for federal office. The organization engages in voter education, advocacy, and mobilization efforts to promote civil democracy, fight voter suppression, and continue Chisholm’s fearless advocacy for social justice, equality, and political empowerment.


  • $25 - Enhance Our Digital Campaigns. Help us create impactful online content to support candidates who champion diversity and inclusion.
  • $50 - Expand Our Voter Outreach. Fund efforts to engage more voters and ensure they are informed about key issues in this election.
  • $75 - Mobilize Grassroots Support. Strengthen grassroots efforts by organizing events and rallies to energize communities.
  • $100 - Support Federal Candidates. Directly contribute to the campaigns of Democratic candidates who fight for equality and justice.
