The UndocuNeighbor Defense Fund
There are millions of individuals currently facing deportation in the United States. These include asylum-seekers, recipients of Temporary Protection Status (TPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and unaccompanied children. Many of these individuals cannot afford immigration attorneys, but would benefit from at least 5–10 hours of legal consultation. Some of these individuals will ultimately qualify for permanent legal relief.
King & Spalding LLP is partnering with Voto Latino Foundation, the leading civic media organization empowering American Latino millennials, to create a coalition consisting of law firms, private industry, and subject matter experts to represent and/or financially assist indigent clients facing deportation.
