There is no going back to “normal”, because normal was simply not working for most of us.

Unemployed Workers United is a multiracial and multigenerational movement dedicated and committed to creating an economy and society that respects all working people, their families, and their communities. We believe that we need systemic change to create new economic structures that ensure decent and dignified lives for the majority of us in the United States.

People are upset and have every right to be. We believe that the government should be doing better but all that has come about in this moment of crisis has been partisan infighting and blame. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people witness their lives deteriorate daily. This pandemic has only highlighted the issues that we have been experiencing all along.

By coming together, uniting our skills, powers, and dreams we know that we can ensure employers, local governments, and state governments to respond with real systemic changes to the issues of unemployment and excluded workers as the COVID-19 pandemic continues and towards a just economic recuperation that accounts for the well being of all of us, not just the banks or the 1%.

We are in partnership with the National Black Worker Center Project, Working Families Party, United for Respect, Mijente, and Peoples’ Action to unify and organize a multiracial and multigenerational working-class coalition that will be strong enough to create the systemic changes we need.

Our mission is to challenge the government that failed us and mobilizes mass-scale people power to demand a new normal for the 99% of us and consolidate our national collective power to win quality public education, healthcare access, and access to fair economic opportunities that will ensure us a secure and safe future

We need to unite and create a multiracial coalition of working-class people to pressure the government into a locally-driven state and federal policy that serves poor and working people.

Support the largest poor and working-class led movement fighting for a new "normal" and a multiracial coalition of working-class people to pressure the government into locally-driven state and federal policy that serves poor and working people by making a donation today!

Let's unite our powers!
