We got to coordinate, y’all!
Black-led organizations are made to compete and perform for limited funding, the same way that Black people are put in competition with one another for limited resources.
Black Farmer Fund, Boston Ujima Project, and Bronx Cooperative Development Initiative have joined forces to build wealth for Black communities across the Northeast in a campaign for Black solidarity. Introducing the United Black Economies Campaign
With this collective fundraising effort, we’ll demonstrate that Black people have all the assets and power we need to fund, cultivate and create the economic systems needed to sustain our Black communities.
Our organizations believe that we don’t have to rely on White people or large foundations to make this work happen. There are varied yet bountiful resources in our Black communities. This campaign is us directly asking for those Black resources to increase support from Black communities across the U.S. to Black economic democracy ecosystems.
Our goal for the campaign is to triple the number of Black donors in our collective network and we would like to get to 300 new Black donors by November 30th, 2022.
Will you join us in meeting this goal?
Please consider making a financial contribution that is meaningful for you, to support the work of our vital organizations.
