COVID 19 Pandemic Relief Fund
As the world battles the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, the United States has also been vastly affected. The rapidly evolving pandemic is creating unforeseen challenges. As the public health crisis deepens, the United States has declared a State of Emergency, urging all people to practice physical distancing to slow the spread of the virus. People we care about are affected across our country and around the world.
Infection rates continue to rise daily, resulting in medical supply shortages across several states. Unity For Equality immediacy donated over 4,000 masks to frontline responders in New York and New Jersey, and volunteers distributed nearly 4,000 care packages in local communities. But meeting the challenges of COVID-19 requires more than quick action, we also need to look ahead and prepare for the future.
Food insecurity, protecting the elderly, medical equipment, and disruptions to education are just a few of the top concerns facing communities. Volunteers across the communities, in the spirit of service, are assessing local situations to assist everyday citizens in coping with the effects of COVID-19.
