House Dems are looking into any and all ways to win back the House majority this November. A key strategy to do so is to target competitive open districts. One such district Democrats are looking to flip this fall is Iowa’s 2nd congressional district, currently held by Republican incumbent Rep. Ashley Hinson. Rep. Hinson is not seeking reelection as she is running for the Senate, leaving this seat open. Ensuring a Democrat wins this seat is a critical priority. With this in mind, state Representative Lindsay James has entered this race with the hopes of flipping IA-02 blue and also to win back the House majority. V4P PAC has not yet endorsed in this race.
