Republicans hold a slim 53-47 majority in the Senate, and Democrats need to do everything in their power to flip this chamber back blue. To win back the Senate, Democrats will need to target red seats with strong Democratic challengers. In Florida this November, voters will elect an official to finish the last two years of former Republican Senator Marco Rubio's term. Sen. Rubio resigned his seat to become the Secretary of State in President Donald Trump's second administration. Ashley Moody, the former Attorney General of Florida, was appointed to represent this seat in 2025 by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. With this in mind, State Rep. Angie Nixon has entered this race! V4P PAC has not yet endorsed in this race.
