Keep VA Blue!

VA is the model for why states matter, regardless of who is in charge in DC. VA became a blue trifecta in 2019. In the words of Tram Nguyen, founder of the New VA Majority, VA has created generational change in 18 months and that ‘while other states have turned away from democracy, we are rushing towards it at full speed’.

Our goal is simply stated: keep the blue trifecta!

This month Lean Left VT is proud to support the New Virginia Majority as well as our two Sister District candidates!

Lashrecse Aird (HD 63)

Wendy Gooditis (HD 10)

Both Lashrecse and Wendy are vulnerable incumbents. Republicans are already pouring money into VA. History tells us we face challenges in VA.

·      Elections in the year after a presidential election favor the out party

·      Neither party has held the governor’s office for three consecutive terms in over 30 years. Gov Northam, who is term-limited, is the 2nd Dem governor in a row.

·      Due to the census delay, the House of Delegates election will take place on the 2011 map, which was gerrymandered to favor Republicans. Yes, Dems won on it 2019 but many victories were extremely narrow. One by just 41 votes!
