Hello Sunshine  

My name is Abigail Diehl and I’m running for Congress in Maryland to replace John Sarbanes, who is retiring. 

Born and raised in this district, I have been consistently working to make our communities the best possible place to call home.

I started working in legal cannabis when the medical program came to Maryland in 2015. Since 2018, I have been the senior cannabis advisor to Senator Brian Feldman, Chair of the Energy, Environment, and Education Committee; as well he is our cannabis and psychedelic legislative champion. 

Maryland now has a thriving billion dollar a year legal cannabis industry! 

Looking forward to getting to work in Washington. 

My campaign has garnered the name The Real Diehl. As a moderate Democrat, I firmly believe in guaranteeing reproductive freedom, fully protecting Social Security and everyone's voting rights, full support for education, and protecting the environment. 

I strongly believe that we need to start working together to move our country forward in the right direction.

My platform is focused on 4 main issues that I do not feel get enough attention, however I believe are critical to our future. 

Clean Food.

Supporting our local farms by bringing fresh, healthy food to every school, hospital, and prison cafeteria. 

Food is medicine. We need to focus on the root problems for mental and physical health instead of putting Band-Aids over bullet wounds years later down the road.

Clean Water.

Working on a water conservation initiative that will save over a billion gallons of clean water every single day. Plus, will save you money on your utilities bill every month. We call that a win win.

Clean Energy.

For so many reasons we need to invest in alternative clean energy. Currently working on a project that could bring 3,000+ jobs here to Maryland, lower your taxes, bring the Maryland budget from a deficit to a surplus, and put us on a pedestal for clean energy around the world. 

Clean Medicine.

I firmly believe that everyone should have the option to use what medicine works best for them. As well, people should have all the support and a clear pathway to safely access that medicine. This includes all plant medicine. 

There are 22 of us in this race, and I am running a grass roots campaign. 

That being said your support is so incredibly appreciated! We need help door knocking, voter outreach, community meetups, delivering signs, and everything in between.

We especially need donations and money to support our efforts please! We are not buying tv ads, like the other politicians, rather we are reinvesting our marketing dollars into the community and charity projects and events. We are supporting school sports programs with ads in their newsletters and banners at the games. Donating to local charities to support their events at the county fairgrounds. Sponsoring booths at the community festivals to engage with constituents and hear what people are concerned about. We want our local businesses and organizations to know we support their efforts in our communities. 

That being said, EVERY dollar is extremely appreciated!!
