This past year has been filled with many milestones. Cook County Commissioner Jessica Vasquez has delivered powerful wins for our community during her short time in office. She passed a resolution condemning ICE and compelling county offices to alert commissioners when ICE is present in county buildings, worked with legal advocates to win a ban on civil arrests in our county courthouses, and co-sponsored Cook County’s expansion of the Single-Family Home Development Program which will construct affordable modular homes on vacant lots.

And this next year will be filled with more community-centered work.
