Donate to Elect Matt Southwell

We're trying to accomplish something big in House District 34 - unseating a two-term Republican incumbent backed by lobbyists and big-money donors. After watching the Democratic victories in special elections throughout 2017, it's become clear that we need three things to make this happen:

  1. A strong message - this campaign is focusing on education, economy, and environment. Educating our children - ALL our children - with a well-funded, high-quality education, while investing in job creation focused on the tech industry that will dominate the job market our children will enter, and expanding solar power - equipment manufacturing, technology research and development, and actual power production - throughout Georgia so they can truly enjoy the world we're leaving them.
  2. Volunteers - people to knock on doors, make phone calls, write letters and post cards, so that we can get that strong message out to the people.
  3. Money - it's going to take some money to get on the ballot, to pay for campaign necessities like literature/fliers/mailers, and hopefully we'll be able to raise enough to compensate the volunteers for their time.
We have number 1 down. The message is strong, and it's resonating with the people. Number 2 is steadily growing, and will continue to grow as the year goes on. But if this campaign will have a chance to win, we need to raise some money.

And I don't want to take money from corporations and lobbyists, because I don't want to work for them. I want to work for the people. I want to work for my constituents, my neighbors. So I am asking you today: will you donate to this campaign so that we can bring real progress to Georgia and make the future brighter for our children?
