I’m Katherine Gauer, and I’m running to turn District 8 blue — and give Valencia County the strong, accountable representation it deserves.

For too long, our community has felt unheard and overlooked. District 8 deserves a representative who cares deeply about our neighbors, fights for our county’s best interests, and who answers to the people — not to political insiders.

I believe in better governance, real transparency, and true accountability. I won’t give a free pass to “fellow” elected officials when they fall short. I will stand on the side of the people — and when you need someone to say, “I will help you,” I will be that voice.

This is an uphill battle. Running as a Democrat in a rural red county won’t be easy — but meaningful change never is. I’m in this race to win it, and with your support, we can build a campaign strong enough to compete, connect, and turn out voters across District 8.
