Join us to win back Democratic majorities in Congress!
This is Vote Blue's first OVERNIGHT bus trip! We'll be heading to Harrisburg, in PA's 10th district on Saturday, October 17th. We'll canvass all afternoon, then have a big group dinner, and stay at a local hotel - both of which will be paid for by Vote Blue. We'll canvass again on Sunday, October 18th, then head back to NYC in the afternoon and be back around 7pm.
By signing up for this bus, you are committing to both canvass days, and an overnight stay.
We will be knocking on doors for Janelle Stelson. In 2024, Janelle lost PA-10 to incumbent Scott Perry by 1% - just 5,000 votes! This district is as close as they come, and our volunteers could play a decisive role.
Anyone is welcome to join us on a bus—no prior experience is required. We ask for a $10 voluntary contribution from bus riders but we can waive the fee for students or due to need. We also ask organizations and individuals to help sustain this effort by becoming sponsoring angels.
PLEASE NOTE: While Act Blue does not require cell phone numbers, we STRONGLY encourage you to include one, in case we need to reach you with any last minute changes.
FAQs
What should I bring to the event?
Comfortable shoes! A working, fully charged cell phone. We also encourage you to bring a phone charger. For this trip specificallly, please bring anything you'll need for an overnight stay.
Why are there no printed tickets to the event?
We will have a list of all attendees and anyone who may be on the waitlist.
Can I do anything to prepare for the event?
Familiarize yourself with the candidates once they are known so your pitch will be more natural and conversational.
Download and install the miniVAN software onto your phone, which you will use for the canvassing activities.
