As a husband, father of two, and recent homeowner, I understand firsthand the challenges of raising a family in today’s environment. I’m running to improve the quality of life for all San Antonians—a life where you don’t have to choose between your medication or groceries, where you don't have to rely on credit cards to cover bills, and where you can afford to stay in the neighborhoods you love without fear of being priced out, and without fear of crime around you.
This campaign is built on the belief that a united community is stronger than a divided one. We aim to break down the barriers that Loop 410 symbolically represents, and bridge the gap between West and Northwest San Antonio. By focusing on early childhood education, an outcomes based workforce program, and significant investments in streets, sidewalks, and drainage we will create lasting change for our city—a promise powered by the people.
I believe the next great minds—whether they become astronauts, researchers, engineers, educators, or more—will come from District 6. Our proximity to quality institutions of education and research facilities, paired with a workforce program that welcomes the community into larger than life projects, will benefit students, families, and our entire San Antonio community for generations to come.
With a focus on the fundamentals of local government, together we will establish a safe crossing for the students at Linton Elementary, improve commuter safety along W. Commerce St. with better drainage, increase the number of free landfill days, and get an A/C unit for the recreation center at Cuellar Park with the help of public-private partnerships and the will of the people.
Your contribution will give our campaign the resources we need to succeed. I deeply appreciate your support and am committed to being a responsible steward of your generosity. After donating, please share our mission with friends or on social media. I look forward to seeing you in the field!
In service,
Donovon J. Rodriguez
