Brittany Bailey is a native of Forsyth County located in North Carolina and I graduated from Carver High School. I attended Salem College where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, a month later after graduation, I enrolled in a Master's Program at Stayer University in Education.
I began working for Forsyth County Register of Deeds Office in 2016, and I completed my Master's in Education that same year. While working at the Register of Deeds, I gained a massive amount of experience in the Vital Records, and the Real Estate divisions. I was cross-trained in four (4) divisions within the office, and in 2020 when there was no room for growth, I began working for Forsyth County Tax Administration as a Tax Deferment Specialist. While working there I was a part of the 2020 audit for Forsyth County, where I was a part of the audit assessment for agriculture, builder's inventory, education, historical, homestead, and woodland exemptions for Forsyth County.
In late March of 2020, my son's daycare shut down until further notice, therefore I had to seek employment working from home, I began working for Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools Virtual Academy as a 7th-grade teacher. Of course, I loved educating the youth, however, once the 2020-2021 school year ended, there were not enough students who were still interested in attending Virtual Academy. Therefore, I enrolled in Skyline Real Estate School virtually, I stopped teaching when the school year ended in June, and then I began to solely focus on Real Estate since I had some background knowledge of my recent careers. I also became a notary public during this process.
Once I obtained my broker's license from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission, I joined the Winston Salem Realtor Association and Keller Williams Realty Elite located in Winston Salem, one of the best-fit firms for me starting as a new realtor. I am currently helping buyers, investors, and sellers navigate through this challenging market. I love to advocate, educate, and negotiate on my client's behalf which is why I became a realtor in the first place.
I am an advocate for education, and even though I am not currently teaching I am a compliance officer for AlphaBEST Education, I have a caseload of three hundred (300) families within 14 independent school districts in Texas and West Virginia.
I love educating and helping people which is why I am running for Forsyth County Register of Deeds, community involvement is extremely important to me. I never knew when I began my career working at the Register of Deeds that I would build on it and grow personally and professionally. I am educated, energetic, knowledgeable, and optimistic which is what I love to share with others. It's meaningful when you can help and guide others through challenging events that occur in their lives and when you can also be there during some of the happiest moments in their lives, I get to be a part of both.
I am thrilled to be running for Forsyth County Register of Deeds for 2024.
