Vote for Change, Yes on 4

New Mexico is the last unpaid legislature in the country — which means today, in many cases it is the wealthy and well-connected that can afford to serve. Constitutional Amendment 4 changes that. By capping legislative pay at our state's median household income, regular New Mexicans — nurses, teachers, firefighters, parents — can serve, not just career politicians. And because their compensation rises and falls alongside the median household income, legislators will share the same economic reality as the people they represent.
