Help Us Get Voters Out To Vote NO on Issue 1

Our radicalized GOP supermajority is making its boldest power grab yet, and attempting to undo more than 100 years of voter rights here in Ohio. They are making it harder for citizen-led inititatives to get on the ballot (twice as many signatures) and raising the threshold to 60% (from 50.1%) for a pass, thereby handing the decision making to a minority.

We here at GCDP have a plan to ensure that the Democrats of our county come out to vote NO on Issue 1. Our strategy includes canvassing, direct mailer to more than 13,000 Dem households, hand written post cards, billboards across the county and radio ads, all to let voters know that there is a special (and likely illegal) election happening on August 8.

We anticipate the cost to do this outreach to be around $10,000, so THAT is our aim. And we've got to get it quick, in order to get things rolling in time for this special election. This campaign ends June 14.

Nobody else is fighting this fight here locally, but us. We are on the front lines of the battle for our democracy - won't you help us?
