Background:
A recent change in state law requires Knoxville to change the way we elect city council members beginning next year in 2025. On voters' ballots this fall, a ballot question will ask whether Knoxville should adopt an all at-large (i.e. citywide) voting system with six regional at-large representatives rather than our six district representatives. To keep Knoxville from moving backward, vote NO!
Voting NO to Ballot Question # 1 is a vote to save our districts! If Ballot Question # 1 fails, Knoxville will maintain our three at-large seats elected by the full city & automatically adopt a voting system where communities & districts finally select their own city council representative through district-only primary & general elections. It's long overdue, Knoxville, and it's time!
Please donate today to help us get the word out!
