We need strong, proven leadership who can get things done at the county. I have served Saratoga Springs for 4 years as your Finance Commissioner, worked with county and state officials in getting things done.
In the past 4 years I have:
- Collected 12 years’ worth of delinquent taxes
- Opened a critical third EMS/ Fire station and hired 16 new fire-fighters
- Established a 24/7 homeless shelter
- Introduced participatory budgeting supporting curling program, pollinator gardens, dog water fountain, children's literacy bus, and Franklin Community Center vegetable garden among many others
- Increased affordable housing
- Fostered environmental programs such as community compost and urban forestry
- Added more sidewalks, bike-lanes, parks (including skate park & bike park) and updated playgrounds
- ALL OF THIS WHILE MAINTAINING A BALANCED BUDGET AND AN AA+ CREDIT RATING FOR THE CITY
As your next County Supervisor I will use my knowledge and experience in business and in city government to work across the aisle to:
- Boost economic development
- Build a homeless shelter for Code Blue (and add Code Red in the summer months)
- Support affordable housing, supportive housing, veteran's housing as well as accessory dwelling units
- Strengthen farm and wetland conservation
- Improve trails, programs for preservation and tourism
