I am committed to continuing the work of meeting STUDENT OUTCOMES through EXCELLENCE and GOOD GOVERNANCE.
I bring over 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience in children, family, and community services including tenures at the the first Mandarin immersion private school in the nation and the first and largest Head Start/Early Head Start child care and education program in San Francisco.
My volunteer work includes Committee of 100 Next Generation Leadership, Wah Mei School ExCEL Parent Advisory, and Co-Founder and Vice President of Give a Beat Foundation to provide music education and skills development to individuals impacted by mass incarceration.
I'm on a deadline to reach 500 donors within the next 2 weeks to LAUNCH and I need your help to spread the word!
Will you please help me launch my campaign? Gifts up to $500 are welcomed! A gift in ANY amount MATTERS. Every DOLLAR helps me reach more voters.
My priorities as School Board Candidate:
1) KEEPING KIDS IN CLASSROOMS by addressing chronic absenteeism to ensure each and every student and teacher is in a safe, healthy environment that optimizes learning.
2) INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT by implementing culturally-affirming early interventions and high-quality curricula to close equity gaps in math, literacy, and college readiness.
3) BALANCING THE BUDGET by attracting and retaining families and working with stakeholders to cut costs in areas that divert resources away from students, teachers, and classrooms.
I'm a proud mom of a 2nd grader at Alice Fong Yu, and my parents are refugee survivors political persecution. Through my family’s experience and the last 7 years working in early childhood development, I have come to recognize the sacrifices that shape the journey of parenthood and the impact of trauma on learning for children. Each and every child is worth fighting for because you never know what's going on in their internal and external world. With a 20 year career rooted in service and education, I have been a lifelong advocate for marginalized children, families, and communities. I will work to close equity gaps for underserved communities by prioritizing early interventions for those who need it most.
Because every student deserves a bright future to reach their greatest potential.
Please consider a $100 monthly contribution to get us through to the elections on November 5, 2024!
