One year ago, when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, we knew that the outcome would be catastrophic for millions of people across the country. And indeed, to date, 20 states have already passed some sort of major abortion ban or restriction, with more on the way. We’re with you in shared grief today, and most days, as we continue the fight ahead.
But while these terrible bans were predictable — two important additional truths remain:
This is why our work is more critical than ever before. At #VOTEPROCHOICE, we create resources to empower prochoice voters to make a difference at the ballot box, as well as endorsing and supporting candidates running for office at every level of government.
Because abortion rights can’t wait until 2024.
If you’re able, please consider rushing a donation to our Prochoice Candidate Fund in honor of the first anniversary of the end of Roe v. Wade. Your contributions allow us to continue the critical work of supporting emerging leaders — an overwhelming majority of whom are women and/or people of color.
