In April, Vote Save America will use Anxiety Relief Program funds to stop North Carolina Republicans from stealing the state Supreme Court election they lost and support Civitech's efforts to register likely Democrats in key 2025 states.
Well, the start to the second Trump Administration - and first Musk Administration - has gone about as bad expected.
From disappearing people off the street to ransacking government agencies and trying to steal the North Carolina Supreme Court election, the scale of the chaos Republicans have created is hard to fully capture.
At VSA, we're staying focused and we're doing what we've always done: directing peoples' time, attention, and money where they'll have the biggest impact - and that includes our Anxiety Relief Program.
A bit of history: In January of 2024, we started our first-ever monthly recurring donations program and called it the Anxiety Relief Program. And now our anxiety has been relieved and everything is totally fine, right??
The goal was to fund grassroots organizations and down ballot candidates that are often overlooked – and together, we did that. We raised $4 million and supported over 67 partner organizations and 58 downballot candidates at the state and local level. One incredible example is Gen Z candidate Dante Pittman, who, thanks to this fund, flipped a North Carolina State House seat, eliminating the Republican supermajority and giving new Democratic Governor Josh Stein veto power.
After Trump’s re-election, the stakes have never been higher.
That’s why we’re evolving the Anxiety Relief Program to meet this moment. We’re doubling down on what worked while making some important changes:
If you can, consider giving an amount that’s comfortable to you on a monthly basis. Along the way, we’ll keep you posted on our programs and the organizations and campaigns that we fund.
Thank you for being in this fight with us.
