I'm proud to be participating in Berkeley's fair elections public financing program! As a result:

  1. The maximum donation is $60
  2. Donations must be from personal funds, Berkeley public financing rules prohibit me from accepting money from PACs or organizations,
  3. All donations from Berkeley residents will be matched 6-1! This means your $60 donation equals $420 to our campaign, so long as you fill out the matching form (more information below).


IMPORTANT FOR BERKELEY RESIDENTS:

Contributions by Berkeley residents are matched 6-to-1 by the City through our Public Financing Program. To have your contribution matched:

  1. Complete your donation through this portal
  2. Fill out this form. The “Committee Information” and “Candidate Information” sections should be filled as "Vylma Ortiz for Berkeley Rent Board 2026" and "Vylma Ortiz" respectively, check the "Online Payment" box if donating via ActBlue.
  3. Sign it - your signature must be hand-drawn; you can either print out the form and sign with ink or draw it digitally using a touch screen or mouse, but it cannot be typed out or stamped.
  4. Email a copy to berkeleyrentboardslate2026@gmail.com. If you printed out the form, you don’t need to scan it; a photo is fine.
