Walton for Iowa

My name is Tom Walton. I'm running for Iowa House District 28 against incumbent David Young-R. The district includes West Des Moines, Van Meter, Adel, and surrounding areas. The election is November 3, 2026. My campaign is about Your Voice. Your Values. Your Iowa. It is time to end one-party rule in Iowa. All Iowans deserve to be heard.

I'm Iowa-born and raised. I've been a resident of the district for over 20 years. My wife, Lori, is a speech therapist at Broadlawns Hospital. My kids attended public school in Van Meter where I've been active as a youth sports coach, as a high school debate coach, and a volunteer with the American Legion Post 403. I have been a lawyer for over 36 years in private practice as a trial lawyer with a firm, as chair of several local nonprofits, and now, as General Counsel for an Iowa-based nonprofit company. I was appointed by Democratic and Republican Governors to lead a state board and commission on criminal justice and public safety issues.

I could use a hand with my campaign. Young spent almost $1 million in 2024, but he won by only about 1286 votes. We can win with a fraction of that amount, but I will need your help. Please contribute what you can, and volunteer. Learn more at www.waltonforiowa.com. THANK YOU!
