Donate to Washington Youth Alliance Shift the Balance Event

WYA is the state’s only truly youth-led advocacy & education organization, centering youth voices under the age of 24 to make tangible change in local communities and schools.

When you choose to contribute, your support will help us continue delivering wins for youth communities.

Here's what contribution can do for our youth:

  • $5,000 - Fund an entire chapter for a year. That’s 20+ young people in communities like Moses Lake or Pullman gaining the tools to transform their towns.
  • $2,500 - Pay a youth coordinator for 3 months. That's one high schooler who is paid to organize their peers.
  • $1,500 - Launch a new chapter. This could be anywhere in the state, including communities often written off as ‘too hard to organize’.
  • $1,000 - Train 25 youth organizers. They learn campaign strategy, legislative advocacy & community mobilization.
  • $500 - Send 10 young people to the capitol for our annual youth day of action.
  • $250 - Send 2 rural youth to the statewide organizing summit. This covers transportation and a stipend to support equitable attendance.
  • $150 - Allow 5 youth to testify at a legislative hearing. This covers transportation to/from Olympia & advocacy materials.
  • $100 - Provide training materials for 25 youth organizers. They learn campaign strategy, legislative advocacy & community mobilization.
