Water is one of our most essential resources. But across the globe, corporations are vying to gain control of and commodify our water. From Pittsburgh, PA to Flint, MI and all the way to Lagos, Nigeria, we’ve seen what happens when water is treated like a commodity rather than a human right.
That’s why Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth, Nigeria (ERA) is hosting an international water summit to chart a path forward for public water solutions in Nigeria, and advancing the human right to public water globally. Members of the Our Water Campaign and Flint Rising have been invited to represent Pittsburgh and Flint.
In order to make this trip a reality, we’ve set a goal of leveraging our power and networks to raise $25,000 in urgently needed funds. Can you make a generous gift to help us seize this important moment for the human right to water?
Thank you for your support!
