As the federal landscape grows more hostile, our best defense—and our biggest opportunity—is right here at home. Our local elected officials like Julia Mejia, Henry Santana, Ruthzee Louijeune and Mayor Wu are the first line of defense for our communities: standing up at hearings, protecting neighbors, pushing for equity, and fighting for the future we all deserve.
That’s why we’re launching We are Different PAC—a new political action committee dedicated to energizing and turning out Black and Brown voters in Boston through culturally relevant, digital-first campaigns in partnership with influencers that will actually connect.
Let’s be real:
🗳 In the last Mayoral election, turnout among Black and Brown voters in MA was under 25%.
🎯 And yet—these communities often align with progressive values, even if they don’t use the label.
