Today Brandon Hydrick would have turned 31 years old. He was innately brave, adventurous, funny, kind, and the love of my life. As he left my house five years ago his life was taken by a man he'd never met who shot him with an AR-15. The shot was like a small bomb to his heart, stomach and spleen, and the force ruptured his internal organs. Gasping for breath, as blood filled his collapsing lung, he died in the arms of his brother. In honor of the Hydrick brothers I’ve joined the fight against gun violence. Today I’m asking family and friends to donate to support the fight.
Shooting deaths like Brandon's are all too common. Ninety-three Americans are killed each day by gun violence. Will you honor each of them with action by making a donation today? Whether $1, $10, or $100, your generous contribution will support groundbreaking original research into the causes of gun violence and the means to reduce it through evidence-based policies and practices. It will also help me and others communicate this knowledge far and wide as we work together to change our culture by ending gun violence. I have set a new goal of 31 total donors to honor Brandon's life. Thank you for being one of them!
All contributions are tax deductible and support the work to elevate the voices of survivors of gun violence. If you have any questions about how these funds will be used please contact me directly at BronwenMurray [@] Gmail.com. Thanks in advance for your support.
