My name is Dr. Wendell Smith. For the past two decades, I've cared for Minnesotan's health. Now, with your help, I'm taking the fight for healthcare to Washington.
As a physician I took upon myself the Hippocratic Oath, which in essence binds a physician to put patients above self. As an officer in the US Air Force I was sworn to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”. These are guiding principles as run to represent you in congress.
I believe that healthcare is a human right. I believe that lifelong debts should not be required to receive an education. I will always protect workers rights and will fight for your right to unionize. It’s time to end corruption, to end corporate money in politics and to hold our leaders responsible for their actions.
