I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for Richmond City School Board, representing the students, educators, and residents of Richmond’s 4th District.
Our district deserves a champion for education. As a passionate and experienced educator and advocate, my mission is to advance high-quality education for all students, with a particular focus on historically marginalized communities, especially those who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQ+. So far, I have dedicated my career–in both the education and nonprofit spaces–to promoting informed civic engagement and supporting initiatives that remove barriers to inclusion.
My firm commitment to fostering an environment where every student feels seen, heard, and connected is grounded in day-to-day experiences as an equity and justice advocate. And as your board member, I pledge to prioritize the well-being of our educators, the protection of academic freedom, and the pursuit of policies that place the focus on increasing students' outcomes over political divisiveness.
With a leadership style that emphasizes goal-oriented, strategic, and proactive decision-making, I am prepared to ensure our schools reflect the values of our community and provide all students the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Thank you for your support!
