Friends -
Impulsive, emotional decisions are out of character for me.
Four years ago, I ran for City Council because I knew El Paso deserved better! While we came up short in the end, our vision for real change still remains. Since then, we’ve only gotten more involved and serious about the change we deserve in El Paso.
The incumbent Joe Molinar has fumbled the ball time and time again by neglecting our people, abusing his power, lacking thoughtful and compassionate leadership, he's faced a recall due to inappropriate behavior, and he has dramatically failed to meet the needs of the people of northeast El Paso.
So here is the truth about whether or not I am going to run for office in 2024:
Yes, we're running to bring much-needed change to our district and our city! Our message will be about making our community safer, ending disastrous and one-sided tax breaks for developers, holding the city manager and city attorney accountable, increasing investments in our infrastructure and animal services, and so much more!
But what I need to know — more than ANYTHING else — is that the grassroots support is there. That’s the piece. If it’s there, this choice is easy.
So today, I am asking:
Please make a $5 contribution to our movement. We will put it to work, ensuring we have the resources we need to build a strong coalition!
