On Monday, June 3rd, we'll be hosting a fundraiser on the top floor of Clarkville to raise funds for the campaign of Kendra Brooks for City Council at-large. Kendra and her running mate Pastor Nic are running in the November 2019 elections as Working Families Party candidates to get the Republicans out and working families in to City Hall.
Kendra is a longtime education organizer in the city -- having led the campaigns to stop the privatization of Steel School in Nicetown, to regain local control of Philadelphia's schools from the state and to end the 10-year tax abatement.
