The Working Families Party believes most people, regardless of where they come from or what they look like, want the same basic things: the opportunity to thrive, a better future for their children, healthy food and clean water, safe communities, and the freedom to live with dignity. Yet wealth and political power remain concentrated among a small group of people who have shaped an economy and democracy that too often leave working families behind. They have weakened public schools and community services, undermined workers’ rights, and used division to turn people against one another.
The Working Families Party brings people together across race, background, and geography to build a country that works for everyone. As a multiracial party, it fights for working people over corporate interests and for communities over entrenched political power. It organizes outside the traditional two-party structure while recruiting, training, and supporting candidates who advance a bold agenda for working families.
The party runs candidates wherever there is an opportunity to make a difference—from local offices to the U.S. Senate. Some run through Democratic primaries, while others run independently of the two major parties. For more than two decades, this approach has helped elect leaders and win meaningful victories, including higher wages, criminal justice reforms, and efforts to reduce the influence of money in politics.
The Working Families Party is demonstrating that people-powered change is possible. Donations help fuel grassroots organizing, develop new leaders, support candidates, and give communities the resources to fight for a more just future. A contribution today will help the Working Families Party continue building a movement—and a country—rooted in freedom, dignity, compassion, and equality for all.
