Following the latest national trend of building oversized and expensive police training facilities, the Fitchburg Common Council is trying to push through a $50 million "Cop City" project. And they're trying to do it without getting the support of the voters who elected them.
The new "Cop City" will cost taxpayers double the city's annual budget to gift unnecessary militarized training facilities to the local police force. Unless we can stop it, which is where you come in:
