Dear friends,
New York has been my home for more than 30 years, and it's the greatest city in the world. But I’m deeply concerned – and a majority of New Yorkers agree – that it's headed in the wrong direction at an alarming rate.
The career politicians running our city are doing a lousy job. Real change is needed.
That’s why I’ve decided to run for mayor.
I am the only change candidate in the Democratic primary -- the only one who’s not a career politician and with a business background.
Our city government spends twice as much as any other city in the world, but New Yorkers aren't getting anything close to the safety, affordability, prosperity and schools we deserve.
Real change can only come from an outsider – a businessperson, not a career politician.
To win this race, I need your help. I would deeply appreciate it if you would donate to my campaign today. The maximum individual contribution is $2,100 – but for NYC residents, it’s the first $250 that really counts because of the 8:1 match from the city of any donations of $10 up to $250.
That means $10 turns into $90, $100 into $900 and $250 into $2,250 -- it's an instant 800% return on your investment!
To qualify for matching funding, I need at least 1,000 donors, and my candidacy will benefit from as many as possible, so I welcome contributions of all sizes -- and please help spread the word.
Thank you!
Whitney
