Whitney for Mayor

Whitney Tilson for Mayor

Dear friends,

New York is the greatest city in the world. But I’m deeply concerned – and a majority of New Yorkers agree – that our beloved city is headed in the wrong direction.

That’s why I’ve decided to run for mayor.

I am committed to turning our city around and have many bold ideas for how to do so.

We need to shake up our city government and abandon a lot of terrible ideas, which can only be done by an outsider – a businessperson, not a career politician.

To win this race, I need your help in two ways:

1) I would deeply appreciate it if you would donate to my campaign today. The maximum individual contribution is $2,100 – but for NYC residents, it’s the first $250 that really counts because of the 8:1 match from the city of any donations of $10 up to $250.

This is one of the best returns on investment I’ve ever seen: $10 turns into $90, $100 into $900 and $250 into $2,250!

2) Might you be willing to forward this letter to your family and friends, especially those who live in NYC, and see if you can get at least a dozen of them to support my campaign? For local residents, it’s not a big ask – just $250 or even $100 makes a huge difference.

To qualify for matching funding, I need at least 1,000 donors, and my candidacy will benefit from as many as possible, so I welcome contributions of all sizes.

Thank you!

Whitney
