Ballot Initiative Kick-off Fundraiser for Whole Washington: Trivia Night

It’s happening! Grab a few of your smartest friends – we’re hosting a virtual trivia night to kick off our campaign to bring Universal Healthcare to Washington State. Join us on Thursday, April 29th at 7pm PST to go head-to-head with other smarty-pants healthcare advocates, and compete for fabulous prizes.
The time for Universal Healthcare is now, and we have the ability to pass it right here at the state level: we are launching a ballot initiative to establish the Whole Washington Health Trust, and we need everyone’s help to do it. This is where you come in!
We are holding this event to raise funds to print the actual petitions, and to raise awareness about our campaign. As a supporter of Universal Healthcare, you can help us make history by becoming the first state to implement a single-payer system – just like in Canada, where it passed one province at a time before finally passing nationally.
If you don’t have a team yet, you can buy a solo ticket and make some new friends – and let’s be honest, after the last year we could all use some help meeting new people. All are welcome. Event via Zoom.

P.S.Why are we raising funds? The petitions themselves cost a lot of money to print: we need to raise $30,000 just to print them. We’ll also need to put significant money into advertising and marketing; we need to raise public awareness. Every dollar raised goes directly towards supporting the signature initiative.
