Hello! My name is Wilbert Pineda, and I’m honored to be running for Somerville City Council At-Large. I'm a proud Somerville native, the son of hardworking Salvadoran immigrants, and a passionate advocate for our community.
Growing up in Somerville Public Housing, Clarendon Hill Apartments I have seen firsthand the struggles many families face—whether it was food insecurity, lack of accessible resources, or the everyday challenges of working class life. As a recent graduate of Somerville High School and now a leader at UMass Boston, I have dedicated myself to fighting for a community where no one is left behind.
I believe every voice in Somerville deserves to be heard—on every street, in every corner, no matter what. Whether it's standing up for better schools, more affordable housing, or real accessibility for all, I'm ready to fight for the community that shaped me. Somerville has always had my back—now, I will have yours.
I’m running to ensure every resident has access to opportunity and a voice in shaping our future. But I can’t do this alone. Your support is vital to building a campaign that represents the heart of Somerville.
Every contribution—whether $5, $50, or $250 helps reach more neighbors and amplify the shared vision for a brighter, more equitable future.
Let’s work together to ensure Somerville remains a place for everyone. I look forward connecting on the campaign trail!
