Contribution Information
Massachusetts law allows individuals to contribute up to $1,000 per calendar year to a candidate committee. Contributions are not tax deductible. Contributions from corporations and certain other entities are prohibited. Contributions must be made from the contributor's own funds and not on behalf of another person. Massachusetts campaign finance law requires the campaign to collect and report certain contributor information, including name, address, occupation, and employer, as required by law.
Contribution rules
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
