Donate to Williams for Arkansas

Since making it to Arkansas’ soil, I have been humbled to grow as a Leader. I am a graduate of the University of California Systems Fellowship Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders. I have been educated on Social Justice by Auburn Theological Seminary and the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, trained in Social Justice Advocacy by Young People For, and recognized for my campus and community ambitions by the White House Initiative on HBCUs. I’ve worked on the development and execution of a youth early adulthood preparedness and entrepreneurship program. I’ve served as Student Government Association Vice-President, then President the following year. I completed a year of Service with the AmeriCorps education non-profit City Year, garnering me invaluable experience and insight into the Little Rock School District and how to work with our students within it. I’ve brainstormed with the Arkansas Urban League Young Professionals and I am graduate of the 2019 Chi Class of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Leadership Academy.

“On this journey of Leadership and Personal Development, I walked the halls of the Arkansas State Capital as an Intern. 2 years later, I’m campaigning for State Representative. If I were to be elected and a few months later, I happen to interface with an intern, there are three things I would tell them: 1) The relationships and friendships you form here can do leaps and bounds for your leadership and personal development. So attend those events and interact, expecting nothing in return. 2.) Service is the price we pay for our rent here on Earth - so, find Service opportunities that you feel you can be of benefit to and give them a try. 3.) Never be afraid to define your future - Arkansas is not a stranger to bold thinkers and bold leaders - but, do so with intention and a purpose. While doing so, begin to think of Arkansas as your home.”
