My job on School Committee is to look at circumstances and options broadly and to make the best decisions I can for everybody. I look to my mother for my inspiration. She went through so much in her lifetime from being incarcerated as a young Japanese American teen during World War II to being a pioneer for women in receiving her PhD in the 1950s. She stayed an active learner and piano player into her 90s and was the bedrock of our family. She is my model for listening and being thoughtful and analytical.
