This year, in honor of Winchester MLK Day of Service 2022, we ask you to virtually give in support of La Colaborativa's Food Pantry.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, Chelsea has emerged as the epicenter of the pandemic in Massachusetts, with infection rates reaching six times the statewide averages.
The pandemic has created many challenges for the Chelsea community, as the health, economic, and social impacts have led to historic levels of poverty, food insecurity, housing instability, domestic abuse, and health inequity for its residents.
In response, La Colaborativa has launched and sustained comprehensive emergency response efforts to keep families fed, housed, and alive during the pandemic. From testing to vaccinations, food distributions, emergency housing, and statewide advocacy, they have been a trusted source of information, services, and supports to thousands of families living in survival mode since March 2020.
Their food pantry is in critical need of donations to continue supporting the Chelsea community, and we urge you to support them in whatever capacity you are able.
