UPDATE! - Control of the US Senate comes down to the two Georgia run-off elections on January 5, 2021. If Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff win, the Democrats will be able to control legislation through both the House and Senate. If either of them lose, Mitch McConnell will again be able to block Democratic initiatives.
This campaign has been updated to now only send contributions to the Warnock and Ossoff campaigns.

Electing a Democratic President in 2020 won't change anything in our country unless enough Democrats are elected to the US Senate. Without this, Mitch McConnell will be able to defeat any Democratic initiative.
There are currently 53 Republicans in the Senate. If a Democrat is elected President, there need to be at least 50 Senators, enabling the Vice-President to break any ties. So Democrats need to pick up at least 3 seats. Making it more difficult, Doug Jones is defending his Senate seat in deep-red Alabama.
