On the second anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, the Equal Rights Association (ERA NOW) is hosting a Women Strike Back rally in conjunction with the National Women's Strike on June 24, 2024.
It's a day where women are encouraged to strike from their daily duties... don't work (if possible), don't do the dishes/housework, don't spend money, etc., to highlight the impact of women on our economy, households, and society, and to bring attention to the inequalities we face 365 days a year.
A joyful female focused rally will be held in Independence Park from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring speakers, merch, conversation, and a call to action. Attendees are encouraged to bring signs and wear red in a show of solidarity with the National Women’s Strike.
The event is free and open to all.
